So I’m thinking it’s not a coincidence that there are characters on Lost named John Locke and Jeremy Bentham.

hee. Nope, don’t think so. Or the name of Henry Gale at one point.
Yes, but is it Henry Gale the astrophysicist, or Henry Gale the Oz character?
I think the Oz character is more apt.
Don’t forget Rousseau.
Yeah, but she wasn’t *Jean-Jacques*
Jeanne-Jacqueline?
Oh, yeah, totally not a coincidence. It’s one of the things I’m most curious about as the season begins.
Definitely Oz, no question.
This is show is just always weird, in an intriguing way.
I noticed a lot of the names this past season.
Maybe I haven’t watched far enough to see a Bentham, but yeah, I was thinking John Locke had to be a philosophical reference.
That’s neat. And your icon is adorable.
I would have assumed so if my best friend in elementary school, Anne Locke, hadn’t had a younger brother named John. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
Well, the name Desmond “Hume” stuck out for me like a sore thumb, but again, I assumed it was just me, since Hume is a good Scottish name, and the character was Scottish.
