I have been so distracted this week with being all anal about my upcoming trip and a health-related matter that I haven’t done much writing. I did start chapter 2, though, so that’s something. It’s going to be too long as well, la la la.

The first draft of the first chapter is finished. And yes, it is terrible!! And it’s 4,199 words. Which is why word counts are bogus as a measure of progress when you’re me. If I keep this up, my new novel will be as long as the old one.
